About Us: Who We Are & What We Do

JOC Financial Services Limited is run by Executive Directive James O'Connor

James, known as Jim to most of his customers, was educated in UCC and graduated as a secondary school teacher in 1985, majoring in Mathematics and Irish. Subsequently Jim secured a Graduateship in Marketing and completed the QFA FLIA, Qualified Financial Advisor and Fellow of LIA, (Life insurance Association).

Shortly after leaving university Jim joined FBD Life and Pensions, as Sales Consultant, where he spent over two and half years before joining Norwich Union Life and Pensions as an Inspector in their Limerick Branch, looking after mainly the Clare Region. In 1996 Jim was promoted to Branch Manager in Tralee with Norwich Union, where he now resides with his wife Helen and family. Norwich union subsequently became Aviva with mergers and acquisitions over the years. After 31 years of service with Aviva, on the 31st December 2018, Jim left their employment to pursue his own business.
